New chef for IPO
Executive Chef Chris Wadsworth has left Restaurant IPO and Scott Varnedoe, previously with Stroubes, will take over the kitchen, according to owner-partner Eric Macicek.
Wadsworth, who has been the downtown restaurant’s executive chef since it opened a year ago, said the split was amicable. He is planning another project which he will reveal soon.
Wadsworth was one of “Padma’s Picks” on the Web series that previewed the upcoming Top Chef New Orleans and is a “Chef to Watch” according to Louisiana Cookin’ magazine.
Varnedoe most recently has been working for chef John Folse in New Orleans. He also had helped develop IPO’s concept and menu.
