Turkey and Black Bean Chili


Turkey and Black Bean Chili

Serves 6 to 8. Recipe is by Christine Roux.

2 lbs. ground turkey

1 onion, chopped

1 (15-oz.) can black beans, drained

1 (15-oz.) can no-salt tomato sauce or 2 (8-oz.) cans no-salt tomato sauce

1 (16-oz.) jar Tabasco chili starter mix

1 (10-oz.) can Ro-tel tomatoes

1½ tsps. chili powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

1. Brown turkey and onion over medium-high heat on stove-top and drain.

2. Add browned ground turkey and all other ingredients except salt and pepper to slow cooker and cook for 4 to 6 hours. Add salt and pepper.
