Some like it hot

Not long after man discovered fire, he must have invented the barbecue grill. And thank goodness he did. Life just wouldn’t be the same without our precious barbecue and the sauces, rubs and seasonings that make our hearts soar.

According to the Hearth, Patio and Barbecue Association, the art of grilling is still most popular among males and more grills are fired up on July 4th than on any other holiday.

We talked to three local grill chefs — an LSU student, a family-man/tailgater and a master grill chef.

Each has spent a number of years in front of the open
fire, and each shares a passion for grilling and for sharing those tasty seared bites with others.
