Museum plans table settings workshop
NEW ORLEANS — The Southern Food and Beverage Musuem, at the Julia Street Entrance of the Riverwalk Marketplace, New Orleans, will hold a table settings workshop with Project Create from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 15.
Guests will learn how to craft last-minute gifts or place settings such as unique napkins and napkin rings. The class is appropriate for kids and adults.

Whole Foods in BR hosts various events
Whole Foods Market Baton Rouge, 7529 Corporate Blvd., will host a variety of holiday events in the coming weeks.
The first is a holiday entertaining showcase and beer tasting from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. Departments around the store will feature holiday recipes and specialty beer available for sampling.
From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 19, the store will also offer favorite holiday hors d’oeuvres for sampling. And from noon to 8 p.m. Dec. 22, there will be a wine tasting of bottles all priced under $16. Call (225) 218-0452.

Metairie plan events
Whole Foods Market Arabella Station, 5600 Magazine Street, New Orleans, will host a holiday party starting at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
First up will be samples of hot chocolate and cookies along with a Rethinkers Chew Dat Culinary Competition. Santa will be on hand from noon to 2 p.m. for photos, and children will be able to make oyster shell ornaments and participate in a scavenger hunt. Call (504) 899-9119.
On Dec. 22, Whole Foods Market Veterans, 3420 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, will hold an Ugly Holiday Sweater Day, Vegan-Friendly Christmas and photos with Santa. The ugliest sweater wearer will net a $100 Whole Foods Market gift card.
At 10 a.m., healthy eating specialist Caitlin Parys will demonstrate how to make vegan pumpkin pie and other vegan holiday treats. From noon to 2 p.m., Santa will be on hand for photos.
