The Red Stick Farmers Marekt will offer sweet potatoes, broccoli, cabbage, greens, citrus, pies and other Thanksgiving favorites at their markets this week.
In the cooking demonstration, chef Celeste Gill will show shoppers how to make seasonal dishes using fresh produce from the market.
The Thursday Market will open at Pennington Biomedical Research Center, 6400 Perkins Road. Shoppers should enter off Kenilworth Boulevard, at Irene Drive. The Tuesday Market on Goodwood Boulevard is also open weekly.
There will be a special pre-Thanksgiving market behind Pennington from 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. The Thursday Market will be closed Nov. 22.
Louisiana Purchase, credit and debit cards are accepted at both locations of the Red Stick Farmers Market.

The Covington Market is open from 8 a.m. to noon each Saturday on the side lawn of City Hall, 609 N. Columbia St., and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Wednesday at the Covington Trailhead, 419 N. New Hampshire.
In this week’s cooking demonstration, Acquistapace’s Covington Supermarket’s Eric Acquistapace will serve fried turkey.
Fresh produce will include tomatoes, shelled peas, eggplant, squash, peppers, potatoes, cucumbers, greens, collards, kale, turnips, spinach, chard, cabbage, bok choy, lettuces, beets, broccoli, cauliflower, radishes and satsumas.
Seafood, meats, dairy products, eggs, honey, herbs and prepared foods will also be available.
