Want to do something a little out of the ordinary for Thanksgiving? Instead of pumpkin pie, try Pumpkin Pudding.
Ever notice that pies often taste best when fresh from the oven?
Nothing better than hot apple pies, for instance. By making a pumpkin dessert in the slow cooker, it can stay warm and be spooned fresh from the insert if you desire.
If you like the taste of pumpkin, this is a great dessert to try.
Grease the slow cooker insert with butter and cook on High. The pudding won’t need to cook for the traditional slow-cooking time, so plan accordingly. Store the leftovers, if there are any, in the refrigerator and enjoy another day.
