Fruit Punch

Makes 11/2 gallons. Recipe was prepared by White House chef Walter Scheib III and Roland Mesnier for the 1998 holidays during the Clinton administration.

1 cup sugar

11/4 cups fresh lemon juice

11/2 cups apricot nectar

2 cups fresh orange juice

3 cups fresh apple cider

11/2 cups pineapple juice

2 qts. ginger ale or 1 qt. ginger ale and 1 bottle sparkling wine

2 cups cranberry juice

3 ozs. grenadine syrup

Mix together and serve cold.
