Culinary Institute offers leisure classes
The Louisiana Culinary Institute is offering leisure classes on Asian cooking, ice cream, sushi, breads and tailgating in August and September.

Londoner celebrates end of the Olympics
The Londoner, 4215 S. Sherwood Forest Blvd., will celebrate the end of the Olympics with a beer dinner on Aug. 15.
The first course will feature Belgian Style Ales: Karmeliet Tripel from Belgium and La Trappe Quad from the Netherlands with mussels and frites. Second course is white ales; the United States’ Clown Shoes White Ale and Japan’s Hitachino Nest White Ale served with tuna tartare and seared tuna salad.
The third course features MeanTime IPA from England and Tuatara IPA from New Zealand, served with New Zealand lamb chops and English mash. The fourth and final course features stouts: Harviestoun Old Engine Oil and Norway’s Norge O Imperial Stout served with a raspberry chocolate tart.

The Club at LSU
set to open Aug. 16
The LSU Faculty Club will open as The Club at LSU Union Square on Aug. 16, serving lunch and dinner.
Lunch service at The Club runs from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on weekdays. Dinner service will be available 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. On football game days, The Club will open from noon to kickoff as The Game Day Oasis, featuring an a la carte menu and a casual atmosphere.
