Super Bowl Chicken Wings

3 to 4 lbs. wings

1¼ cups orange sauce, divided (see note)

2 tsps. minced garlic

½ tsp. ground ginger

1 bell pepper, sliced

1. Put wings into slow cooker and pour all but ¼ cup orange sauce over all.

2. Put reserved orange sauce in refrigerator until ready to use.

3. Add minced garlic, ginger and bell pepper to wings in cooker and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours.

4. Remove from cooker and baste reserved sauce over ready-to-serve wings. For a darker color, put wings under broiler for a few minutes after sauce is basted.

Note: Orange sauce can be found on the Asian-style ingredients aisle in local supermarkets. Panda Express Orange Sauce was found at Walmart.
