Power of Giving Workshop: 6:30 p.m., St. Joseph’s Academy, 3015 Broussard St., featuring Cami Walker, author of “29 Gifts: How a Month of Giving Can Change Your Life.” Walker, then in her mid-30s, was diagnosed with MS in 2006 just one month after getting married. Struggling with the chronic pain and mobility problems, she followed advice to give a gift a day for 29 days.
NATIONAL Baptist ASSOCIATION MARRIAGE CONFERENCE MUSICAL: 7 p.m., New Hope Baptist Church, 5856 Greenwell Springs Road.
