The summer music season just got busier with announcements of major concerts at the Manship Theatre and a free music series at the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino atrium.
The Manship Theatre is presenting Grammy-winning rhythm-and-blues singer Macy Gray on Wednesday, July 25. Lindsey Buckingham, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, member of Fleetwood Mac and solo artist, appears Friday, Aug. 17.
Lafayette’s Lil’ Band O’ Gold, an all-star group including C.C. Adcock, swamp-pop artists Tommy McLain and Warren Storm and Cajun musician Steve Riley, performs at the Manship on Friday, Aug. 10.
The Belle of Baton Rouge Casino music series begins Friday, June 29, with Louisiana’s LeRoux. Produced by the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, the series runs through Aug. 31. In addition to LeRoux, the weekly concerts will feature Amanda Shaw, Jo-El Sonnier, Kenny Neal, and Chris LeBlanc with Luther Kent and more.
