Tickets now on sale for next LSU Symphony concert

Tickets are on sale for the next concert in the LSU Symphony Orchestra’s 2012-13 Beethoven Festival at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, in the LSU Union Theater, Raphael Semmes Drive on campus.

The orchestra will perform Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 “Eroica” piano concerto No. 4, featuring pianist Willis Delony as the soloist. The program also will include Jean Sibelius’ “Finlandia.”

Each concert in this festival will be preceded with a talk by Jeffrey Perry, professor of music theory, about the symphony, its context and meaning.
