Art-fashion show will aid breast cancer services
The BR Walls Project and Privé are partnering to host BUST, an art-fashion show at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at Hartley/Vey Theatres at the Manship Theatre in the Shaw Center for the Arts, 100 Lafayette St. The show’s mission is to raise awareness and funding for Woman’s Hospital breast cancer care, support and education services. Bras will be adorned with paint, jewelry, metal, photography, poetry, fabric, glass, mixed media or any medium that the artist chooses. The art bras will be worn by a mix of breast cancer survivors and models, then auctioned off at a silent auction. Tickets are $75. For tickets, visit the website.

Tapas and Wine

Tattoo showcase set
In conjunction with the LSU Student Union Gallery’s exhibit, Ancient Marks: The Sacred Origins of Tattoos and Body Marking exhibit, the LSU Student Union Art Advisory Committee will be hosting a tattoo showcase and discussion panel at noon Thursday, Oct. 11, moderated by the director of Southeastern University’s Contemporary Art Gallery, Dale Newkirk, with New Orleans tattoo artists Donn Davis of Tattooagogo, Adam Montegut of Hell or High Water Tattoo and Ed Dieringer of Electric Ladyland Tattoo.

Tigerama tickets
Tickets are on sale for the LSU Tiger Marching Band’s annual Tigerama on Tuesday, Oct. 23, in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on campus.
