SATURDAY, JUNE 15

  • GARDEN FEST AT BURDEN: 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m., LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens, Essen Lane. Music, hayride tours to the research area to taste tomatoes, watermelons, peppers and fruit crops. Omelets prepared by the La. Department of Agriculture & Forestry and the Egg Commission. $10, adults; $5, children 4-10; and free. children under 3. http://www.lsuagcenter.com/burden.
  • BATON ROUGE PRIDE FEST: Noon-6 p.m., Belle of Baton Rouge Atrium, 102 France St., downtown. Annual event for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and friends. Indoor picnic, entertainment, resource fair, kids’ area, games and blessing of relationships. http://www.brpridefest.com.

SATURDAY-SUNDAY, JUNE 15-16

  • SOUTHERN FRIED SWAMP FEST: Audubon Zoo, 6500 Magazine St., New Orleans. Fried food feast, music, crafts vendors, animal presentations.
