The first Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show at the Scott Civic Center in New Roads is planned for this weekend, while the 11th Annual Back to the Beach Car Show also will happen this weekend at Laketown in Kenner (Williams Boulevard at Lake Pontchartrain).

The event in New Roads, sponsored by the nonprofit organization Reach & Teach Community Development, will benefit Boys & Girls Youth Group. The show runs 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at the center, Major Parkway, New Roads. As the title indicates, cars, trucks and motorcycles will be featured.
