• UPLIFTING THE COAST FESTIVAL: Baton Rouge Fairgrounds, 16072 Airline Highway. With the theme “Keep Grand Isle Grand,” the event benefits coastal restoration. Music, seafood, arts and crafts, car show, rides and games, silent auction. Admission is $5; kids younger than 10 get in free. Hours are 4-11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Sunday. http://www.upliftingthecoast.org.
• LOUISIANA CORN FESTIVAL: Bunkie. Pageant, live music, 5K run, balloon launch, arts and crafts, softball tournament, carnival rides, face painting, talent show, corn-shucking and corn-eating contests, pirogue races, food. http://www.bunkie.org.
