At poetry brothel, the meter’s running

It’s an evening of “perverse poesy and decadent diversion” at the All Ways Lounge, as poets including Mam’zelle Cherie Louve, Jack Prince and Scarlett O’Heresy offer rhymes for money. The New Orleans Poetry Brothel presents the event, called “The Confessions,” at 9 p.m. Thursday. It includes guest readings, burlesque, tarot cards and stilting. Regatta for a cause

Enjoy spring sunshine and a view of sailboats at the 2013 Leukemia Cup Regatta in New Orleans this weekend. Sailors take to Lake Pontchartrain for a weekend of competitive sailboat racing, and landlubbers come out to the Southern Yacht Club to cheer them on. ‘Soul at the Bowl’
