Playmakers will take Lucky Lecowski on local tour through July 11

Playmakers of Baton Rouge’s 2012 Summer Neighborhood Tour, titled Lucky Lecowski’s Really Big Dream, will run through Wednesday, July 11. All performances are free.

This production is designed in conjunction with the statewide reading theme that is set each summer.

The 2012 summer theme is “Dream Big, Read!”

The book for this original work was written by Christy Reeves, whose main character, Lucy Lacowski, has the worst luck.

It seems like Lucy’s always getting into trouble for something someone else does. Frustrated and certain she is jinxed, she locks herself away in her room with a pile of her favorite books. After an adventurous and exciting night with Hip Hop Dream Cloud, she wakes up refreshed and hopeful she can finally turn her luck around.
