Rape suspect arrested

A Chippewa Street man accused of raping two women this month has been arrested, jail records show.

Kreston Leroice Williams, 35, 2835 Chippewa St., was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison at 12:28 a.m. Friday, jail records show.

Baton Rouge police had issued arrest warrants for him on Monday.

A woman accused Williams Saturday, Sept. 21, of arming himself with a large steak knife and raping her, according to court records.

She told authorities she had gone to the Mirage Villa Apartments off Florida Boulevard looking for “something to smoke” when she tried to sell her food stamp card to Williams and later drank a beer with him.

Williams, who is known as “Tiger,” is also accused of raping a woman Sept. 4 at a residence off Kirkley Place East.

In that case, the victim told authorities Williams apologized after sexually assaulting her and stated “I don’t want to go back to jail,” court records show.
