Letters: Electronic noise ruins stadium sounds

It’s been 10 years since I’ve been to a game at Tiger stadium, living now as I do in Seattle, but I was able to attend the Auburn game.

It was a great night for football even with the rain. I sat next to the Auburn band, which was outstanding, and across from the LSU band, which we sometimes could hear and enjoy as well. But the Tiger band was often drowned out by the loud, obnoxious, electronic music played during breaks in the action.

Why drown out the amazing music and energy coming from two of the most outstanding bands in the country with the electronic stuff coming from the scoreboard?

Every fan I talked with complained that the music generated from the scoreboard is obscenely loud and intrusive.

Is this necessary? Let the bands play and forget about the electronic noise.
