A variety of news agenies are reporting that Arizona Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson lost the tip of a finger during Sunday’s game with the New Orleans Saints.

The Sporting News quotes Kent Somers as reporting that after talking Darren Sproles on a punt return, Johnson removed his glove and the tip of his middle finger came off with it.

The Associated Press reported that Johnson called it the most painful injury he’s had, but he could return for next Sunday’s game at Tampa Bay.
