The Greater New Orleans Immunization Network bus offers free shots to children who lack insurance coverage for vaccinations.
The network also maintains a computerized registry for easy record-keeping.
The bus will be parked:
2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Wal-Mart, 4810 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero.
2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at Clearview Mall on Veterans Blvd., Metairie.
2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Rouses, 1644 Gause Blvd., Slidell.
2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Walgreens at Bullard Ave. and Lake Forest Blvd.
2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 29 at Wal-Mart, 4810 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero.
Dr. David Liff will speak on the topic of heart disease Aug. 27 at noon at Andrea’s Restaurant, 3100 19th St. at Ridgelake Dr., Metairie.

This group is open to any woman, regardless of her cancer diagnosis, who is actively in treatment and interested in receiving and giving support to other women with cancer.
The monthly group meetings are designed to be informative and promote the sharing of thoughts and feelings.

Tai Chi and Chi Kung classes meet in City Park from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Monday in the NOMA Galleries.
Chi Kung (study of energy) is the basis of all Tai Chi practice. The primary goals of Chi Kung postures and movements are to heighten awareness of the energy in the body. Learn how to generate, cultivate and move the energy where needed.
Physical stamina, relaxation, harmony and balance are achieved through stretching exercises, standing postures, repetitive movements and abdominal breath techniques in Chi Kung.

Tai Chi participants should enter New Orleans Museum of Art by going to the rear volunteer/staff entrance as the building is closed to the public on Mondays.
