Events featured in the Aug. 15th edition of The New Orleans Advocate:
• Argentine Evening: Casa Argentina’s “Wine, Music and Dinosaurs” was held in the Lake Marina Towers’ Harbor Room, with Argentine wines, entertainment by a guitar and flute duo and a talk by renowned local geologist Tom Bergeon.
• Pride of Leos: Jimmy Fahrenholtz and Pam Butler hosted a party in their home celebrating the Leos in their lives and other folks with August birthdays. Specials of the day were spirited snowballs, comfort food and preseason football.
• When the Moon Hits Your Eye: “Moonlighting” was the title of the exhibit that opened at Staple Goods Gallery, showing work by Richard McCabe, Michael Pajon and Monica Zeringue.
