It’s always been a challenge for young mothers to find their stride when it comes to managing the work/home/raising children time of life.
There aren’t enough hours in the day to do what needs to be done, but somewhere along the way, it becomes manageable, at least on some days. Maybe, we just get better at it and that includes organizing the daily meals.
Mom-to-be Elizabeth Canfield is already feeling the pressure and she’s several months away from delivering her first child.
“It’s definitely different cooking for just myself and my husband,” she said. “I know meals will change. My friends have already been telling me the Crock-Pot will become my best friend.”
Canfield, a full-time communications specialist, said while her grandmother cooked wonderful homemade meals for her nine children, times have changed and convenience is in. She knows it’s also going to take a lot more organization and she’s already gathering tips to help with future meals.
“I’m definitely trying to beef up my slow-cooking recipes,” she said.
