The inaugural meeting of a task force charged with investigating the creation of a St. Tammany Inspector General’s Office has been rescheduled, just a day after it was announced by Parish President Pat Brister’s office.
The panel will come together for the first time Aug. 12 rather than Aug. 8. A news release from the parish administration said that there were scheduling conflicts with the original date.
The public meeting will begin at 6 p.m. and will be held in the Parish Council Chambers, 21490 Koop Drive, Building A, Mandeville.
The agenda includes electing a chairperson and setting a meeting schedule.
The Senate resolution that created the task force specified that the first meeting had to be called by Aug. 1.
