DONALDSONVILLE — State and parish investigators searched Friday for an Ascension Parish man they believe is a heroin dealer after seizing drugs from his Donaldsonville home Thursday morning.
Kelly Derrell Jones, 31, 201 Madewood Drive, Donaldsonville, is wanted on drug possession and distribution counts after a multiagency search of his home uncovered large amounts of drugs, a State Police news release states.
The search of Jones’ home led to the seizure of heroin, marijuana, codeine syrup and numerous prescription pills. In addition, authorities discovered $4,000 in cash and five firearms, including one that was stolen.
Jones was not home at the time, and a warrant for his arrest was issued by 23rd Judicial District Court.
Jones is wanted for prosecution on counts of possession with intent to distribute heroin, marijuana and several other narcotics; possession of a firearm in the presence of drugs; possession of a stolen firearm; and possession of drugs in the presence of a juvenile.

State Police narcotics agents and SWAT team members participated in the raid along with investigators from the sheriff’s offices in Ascension and Assumption parishes.
