Loranger man booked in wife’s slaying

A 28-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in St. Martin Parish after allegedly fatally shooting his wife in Tangipahoa Parish, authorities said.

Richard Lagarrigue shot his wife at their house on Prevost Lane in Loranger at 7:30 p.m., then ran, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto said in email late Tuesday.

Lagarrigue was captured by St. Martin Parish sheriff’s deputies without incident.
