Livingston Parish sheriff’s deputies arrested two men in a shooting in which four people were targeted in a car outside a home on Carla Drive in Walker.
Cody Wilson, of Denham Springs, was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on four counts of attempted second-degree murder. Brett Burkins, 21, of Walker, was booked on four counts of principal to attempted second-degree murder.
Both men were arrested on July 7.
Wilson is still being held in the jail on $150,000 bail, the Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday. Burkins was given $100,000 bail but bonded out Friday.
The shooting reportedly happened after an argument at the Carla Drive home, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Wilson, the accused triggerman, was arrested shortly after the incident in Denham Springs.
No injuries were reported.
Deputies are still investigating what caused the argument, as well as Burkins’ role in the shooting, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Gene Higginbotham said.
