A 20-year-old Kentucky woman was arrested late last month in the French Quarter after she allegedly offered to have sex with an undercover police officer for money, then offered the services of two teenage girls to two other officers.
The three plainclothes officers were in the 400 block of Bourbon Street about 2:30 a.m. on June 30 when Karlie Stewart of Cadiz, Ky., and two girls, ages 15 and 16 from Algiers Point, walked up to them and began to chat, according to a police report.
A short time later the conversation shifted to sex.
Stewart offered to perform “explicit sexual acts” for $300, according to the report. Stewart then offered the services of the two girls as well, also for $300 apiece.
According to the report the girls agreed to go with the men when Stewart asked them if they would do so.
The officers then identified themselves and arrested the three. Stewart was booked on two counts of pandering, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, a count of solicitation of prostitution and two counts of trafficking of children for sex purposes, according to Orleans Parish criminal court records.
No probable cause was found for the pandering and trafficking charges, however, according to court records. The girls were arrested on charges of prostitution, according to the report.
Stewart was out of jail on a $7,500 bond, according to records. Police did not specify in the report how Stewart and the girls knew each other.
