• Every Picture Tells a Story: Women in Film and Television Louisiana opened its exhibition “A Woman’s Work” in the Press Play Gallery of the Contemporary Arts Center. The collection spotlights film, video and new media by women in Louisiana.
• Speech!: Supporters of the New Orleans Speech and Hearing Center gathered at the Warehouse Grill for the agency’s 10th annual celebration. The agency targets speech and hearing disorders with trained pathologists, support and education services.
• Mission Possible!: New Orleans Medical Mission Services held its 12th Annual Mission Possible gala at Generations Hall. The organization raises money to send surgical teams and medical materials to Central America.
• Dance Out Loud: D’Project and the Contemporary Arts Center presented “Southern Voices: Dance Out LOUD 6” at the CAC. The event showcased the exciting work of 18 choreographers, then offered master classes to aspiring professionals.
