Advocate staff report

More than 700 people came out for the view Saturday when Bridge House/Grace House hosted its fun and fashion event, Mr. Legs XIII, at Generations Hall.

The parody fashion show, featuring men in shin-baring fashions, is an annual fundraising event that supports the substance abuse treatment program for men and women who cannot afford the service otherwise. Contestants competed for the coveted title of Mr. Legs by entertaining the crowd with their costumes and performances. Spectators donated money to vote for the contestant with the best legs.

By raising more than $8,600 — and his skirts — for the substance abuse programs, Roberto Espinoza was crowned Mr. Legs XIII. Second-place winner was Michael Zarou, and third was taken by Jonathan Porter.
