Woman, 50, accused
of improper use of 911

A 50-year-old woman was arrested by Baton Rouge police and accused of using 911 inappropriately.

Melissa Williams, 1423 Lake Calais, Apt. A, Baton Rouge, was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Tuesday on a count of illegal use of 911, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Williams had been advised previously that 911 is for emergencies only.

She called 911 Monday and told officers that she called because Torrence Hatch, also known as rapper ‘Lil Boosie, was on her porch, the affidavit says.

Authorities book 4
on suspicion of DWI

Authorities arrested at least four people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, booking records show.
