NAPOLEONVILLE — A Napoleonville man was arrested Tuesday night in connection with the attempted second-degree murder of another Napoleonville man.
Deputies booked Daron Holloway, 21, who is accused of fleeing the scene of the shooting Monday, after he surrendered to authorities Tuesday.
Holloway faces prosecution in a shooting incident in the 4500 block of La. 308 in Napoleonville that left Skilar Rhodes, 21, under treatment in a hospital.
A bond hearing on Holloway is set for Wednesday, Sheriff Mike Waguespack said in a news release.
After the dispute Monday night, Holloway pointed a small handgun at Rhodes and shot him in the back as he tried to flee the scene. Rhodes was transported to Prevost Memorial Hospital in Donaldsonville then airlifted to a Baton Rouge-area hospital, where he was listed in guarded condition Tuesday afternoon.
Holloway left the scene of the shooting in a faded black Ford Escort.
