HAMMOND — Tangipahoa Parish sheriff’s deputies said they are looking for a minivan that burglars used to smash open the front of a convenience store on Pumpkin Center Road.
Sheriff’s detectives arrived at the convenience store around 2:30 a.m. and found that the front glass doors had been broken open and that cash boxes from the store’s automated teller machines had been burglarized, according to a Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Office news release issued Wednesday.
Surveillance video shows a minivan, possibly pewter or silver blue, smashing the glass doors. Two men seen inside the vehicle were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, gloves and something covering their faces.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 554-5345.
