Sex offender booked with video voyeurism

A 42-year-old registered sex offender accused of using his cell phone to secretly video a woman while she was taking a bath has been booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Fred MacHenry Thomas, 3021 North Boulevard, was arrested Tuesday and booked on two felony counts of video voyeurism.

The incident occurred at a friend’s residence, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

In checking for warrants, police found that Thomas was a registered sex offender, the affidavit states.

When interviewed by police, “the defendant stated that he did place his cellular phone on the counter near the sink in the complainant’s bathroom” and made a video recording of the victim while she was taking a bath twice, without the victim’s knowledge.
