Letter: Jindal has no business governing

Gov. Rick Scott of Florida said that this country is the greatest in the world, and it’s the greatest largely because of how we value the weakest among us.

After vetoing $4 million of aid that would have gone to help home-based services for the developmentally disabled, Gov. Bobby Jindal last Friday went on to strip money from children’s clinics and programs that prevent family violence and help the disabled become more independent. If he can look on the poor, the abused, the disabled, the mentally ill and ignore them, then he has no business governing in this state or any place else.

It’s no wonder that Louisiana consistently ranks at or near the bottom in quality-of-life indicators.
