The Lafayette Young Lawyers Association will offer a series of free legal seminars from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Lafayette Bar Association’s office on Johnston Street in Lafayette.
Topics include estate planning, divorce, child custody and child support, protective orders, small claims, city court lawsuits and criminal defense.

The Acadian Orchid Society will hold its annual show and sale this weekend at the Ira Nelson Horticulture Center, 2206 Johnston St., Lafayette.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Orchid exhibits will be on display, and orchids will be available for sale.

The Acadiana Wind Symphony will give a free summer concert at 4 p.m. June 30 at Angelle Hall on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus.
Parking will be available at the Earl K. Long Gym parking lot across from Angelle Hall.
The wind symphony will perform works from classic movies, including Richard Strauss’ “Also Sprach Zarathustra” that was used in “2001: A Space Odyssey” and a symphonic suite from “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.”
