In the Sunday, June 9, issue you dedicated one-half of the front page, in color, to LSU returning to the Baseball College World Series in Omaha.
On Page 2, you reported three Americans being killed in Afghanistan and another killing spree (Santa Monica, Calif.) with relevance to the national debate regarding gun violence.
I don’t know your views on the importance of front-page placement or of newspaper coverage upon public policy, but I imagine you feel pretty powerful.
Please use that power carefully as you decide what is front-page news ... especially when life and death are involved, and especially when you have a color sports section with front-page news.
