Foundation holds gala to benefit hospice

The Ida Steib Breaux Foundation held a gala recently to benefit hospice patients and families. The Hyatt Regency New Orleans hosted the event, which featured a gourmet dinner, signature cocktail and a live and silent auction.

Entertainment was provided by the James Andrews Band with a special appearance by Michael Batiste, and a there was a second-line performance by the Free Agents Brass Band and the Zulu Tramps.

Sponsors included the Hyatt Regency New Orleans, The Urban League, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Harrah’s, Richard’s Disposal, Southern Eagle, WDSU-TV, Top Notch Performance Automotive, ReDe Inc. and AT&T. Entertainment for the Patron Party was courtesy of Michael Ward and Erica Falls. Dr. Eric Griggs, M.D., Board chairman of ISB, and Danielle Griggs, R.N., president of ISB, greeted 150 guests for the fundraiser, which will supplement hospice care for low-income patients, community education and outreach, and bereavement care for patients’ families.
