GALLAUDET GRADUATION: Natalie Delgado, of Baton Rouge, earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., during its May 17 commencement exercises. Delgado is the daughter of Guillermo and Jenny Delgado and is a graduate of Paul J. Hagerty High School, of Oviedo, Fla., and attended Parkview Baptist School.
U.S. MILITARY ACADEMY GRADUATION: Cadet Martin Joseph Baker, son of David and Brenda Baker, of Baton Rouge, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy on May 25. Baker graduated from Parkview Baptist High School in 2009.
While at West Point, he majored in mechanical engineering with a subspecialty in energy engineering and graduated with honors. He was also named an honor graduate for placing in the top 40 among his class of 1,067. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the infantry branch and will report to the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Ky., for his first assignment.
BURRELL COMPLETES BASIC: Air Force Airman Carlos L. Burrell graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Burrell is the son of Shandrika Jones, of Zachary, and nephew of Simone Higginbotham, of Baton Rouge, and is a 2010 graduate of Zachary High School.
GEORGE COMPLETES BASIC: Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Tiffany R. George graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. George is the daughter of Gwen Thompson, of Zachary, and stepdaughter of Charles Thompson, of Baton Rouge, and is a 2010 graduate of Zachary High School.
ST. MATTHIAS GRAMMAR SCHOOL: The St. Matthias Grammar School reunion committee is looking for classmates for a 50-year reunion.
