- CREOLE TOMATO FESTIVAL: 8 a.m.-5 p.m., French Market, New Orleans. Music, cooking demonstrations, Creole Tomato Parade, farmers’ market, Creole tomato eating contests, children’s activities. Free.
- CAJUN-ZYDECO FESTIVAL: Old U.S. Mint, 11:30 a.m.-7 p.m., 400 Esplanade Ave., New Orleans. Popular Cajun and zydeco artists from Louisiana, including Rosie Ledet, Beausoleil, Geno Delafose & French Rockin’ Boogie, Nathan & the Zydeco Cha Chas, the Lost Bayou Ramblers and more. Food booths, large arts market with some 30 sellers of hand made art and crafts. Free.
