A bill that would allow pay raises for Louisiana assessors gained final legislative passage Friday.
The Louisiana Senate voted 22-8 to concur in a minor House change to the measure which authorizes 4 percent pay raises in each of the next four years.
Senate Bill 63, sponsored by state Sen. Fred Mills, R-St. Martinville, now heads to the governor’s desk.
Assessors pay today ranges from $88,290 to $108,290 depending on the parish population.
