The Iberville chapter of the Louisiana Art and Artists Guild is accepting entries for the group’s annual art show and sale, June 14-16, at the Rosedale Art Depot in Rosedale.
Both nonmembers and LAAG members can enter one or more works.
The art show is open to artists ages 18 and up.
The organization is offering cash prizes of $250 for first place, $150 for second place and $100 for third place.

The West Baton Rouge Parish Library is hosting robotics classes at 1:30 p.m. every Saturday in June for students ages 8 to 12 years old.
Students will learn to construct and program Legos Education WeDo kits.
Registration is required. The class is limited to 12 students.

The West Baton Rouge Museum’s exhibit “Heroes: Photographs by Steve Schapiro” will end on Sunday, June 9.
The exhibit features iconic images selected from Schapiro’s collection of photographs taken during his encounters with artists, writers, actors, athletes and politicians throughout the second half of the 20th century.
The Reach & Teach Community Development nonprofit organization is sponsoring a Car, Truck and
Motorcycle Show fundraiser at the Scott Civic Center from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
The event will feature a Poker Run, Krank It Up Car Show, an antique car show, and arts and crafts and food vendors.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the organization’s Boys & Girls Youth Group.

Iberville Parks and Recreation, We Are the Difference and the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office will present a women’s self-defense class at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Carl F. Grant Center.

During the May 23 meeting of the West Baton Rouge Parish Council, the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency and the Baton Rouge Regional Eye Bank recognized parish Coroner Dr. Philip Padgett, Chief Investigator Yancy Guerin and the rest of the coroner’s staff members for their work in facilitating organ donations and their “dedication and support of organ, tissue and eye donation” and ensuring that “each family in West Baton Rouge Parish is given the opportunity to give the gift of life.”
