LADY ANTEBELLUM

Lady Antebellum, the winner of seven Grammy Awards, achieved its third consecutive No. 1 album debut last week with its fourth album, Golden. Formed in 2006, Lady Antebellum has sold 11 million albums worldwide and won three consecutive Vocal Group of the Year awards from both the CMA and ACM. The group’s other statistics include nine gold singles and four platinum singles.

LUKE BRYAN

Leesburg, Ga., native Luke Bryan is one of country music’s new stars. His hits include “Country Girl (Shake It For Me),” “Do I,” “Someone Else Calling You Baby,” “Rain Is A Good Thing,” “All My Friends Say” and “Country Man.” Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Eric Church lead this year’s CMT Music Awards nominations.

DARIUS RUCKER

Pop star turned country singer Darius Rucker released his latest album, True Believers, this week. The album features the former Hootie & the Blowfish front man’s latest solo hit, “Wagon Wheels.”

True Believers follows 2008’s Learn to Live and 2010’s Charleston, SC 1966. The latter albums, featuring the No. 1 hits “Come Back Song,” “This,” “Alright,” “It Won’t Be Like This For Long” and “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It,” topped the Billboard country albums chart.

THOMPSON SQUARE

ACM and CMA Vocal Duo of the Year winners Thompson Square features the husband and wife team of Keifer and Shawna Thompson. The couple’s latest single, “If I Didn’t Have You,” recently reached No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and the Country Aircheck/USA Today chart.

AARON LEWIS

The lead singer of Staind, a hard-rock band that encompasses both thrash and melody, Aaron Lewis recast himself in 2011 as a country singer with his EP, Town Line. He released The Road, his first full-length country album, in November.

FRANKIE BALLARD

A country singer from Battle Creek, Mich., Frankie Ballard got a Top 5 video hit with his first single, “Tell Me You Get Lonely.” He followed it with tours with Uncle Kracker, Bob Seger and Taylor Swift and another hit, “A Buncha Girls.”
