Donaldsonville teenager booked with armed robbery

A Donaldsonville teenager was arrested after he allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint.

Casey Harris, 18, 305 W. Sixth St., was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail after he allegedly robbed a man of $15 on Monday in the area of Nolan and Second streets in Donaldsonville, sheriff’s Maj. Kevin Hanna said in a news release.

Deputies located Harris in the vicinity of the robbery.They also found the gun used in the robbery, which later was found to be stolen, and a small bag of marijuana, Hanna said.

Harris was booked on one count each of armed robbery, possession of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance, illegal carrying of a weapon, illegal possession of stolen firearms and resisting an officer.
