Newsroom for an Intern Reporter

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include covering breaking news, especially on the police beat, doing general assignment reporting, and writing enterprise and feature stories. Night and weekend work required.

Required Education, Prior Work Experience & Specialized Skills and Knowledge:

Degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, or related field is required. Some experience writing for newspapers or other publications is required. Candidate must be able to provide samples of published articles (can be from college publications). Must be a good speller. Must have a valid driver's license and a car.

Required Tests: Spelling

Salary is competitive for entry-level reporting position.
