In Tampa, Fla., the Tampa Bay Storm scored 35 of the game’s first 41 points en route to a 63-32 victory against the New Orleans VooDoo on Saturday night in Arena Football League action.
Tampa Bay (5-2) took a 35-6 lead late in the second quarter on a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown by Vance Cuff. VooDoo quarterback Bill Stull scored on a 1-yard run just before the half expired to make it 35-13, but New Orleans (1-5) could get no closer in the second half.
Stull threw for three touchdowns and rushed for two for the VooDoo. Courtney Smith had two touchdown grabs.
Adrian McPherson rushed for four touchdowns and threw for four more for Tampa Bay. Greg Ellingson added two TD receptions through the air.
The VooDoo visits Iowa on May 11.
