NEW ORLEANS — Police have arrested a man they believe committed two murders last year, a month apart.
New Orleans police picked up 23-year-old Isaac Jones Tuesday afternoon and booked him with second degree murder in the Aug. 4 shooting of 25-year-old Jeremy Curry in the 8600-block of Gervais Street, police spokeswoman Remi Braden said in a news release.
And Wednesday, Braden said, Jones was booked again, with another count of second degree murder in the Sept. 5 shooting of 31-year-old Teron Crawford in the 3000-block of Audubon Street.
Braden said Jones was previously arrested on counts of illegal carrying of weapons, resisting an officer, illegal use of a weapon, aggravated battery, possession of marijuana 1st and 2nd offense, driving on a suspended license and various traffic warrants.
