DENHAM SPRINGS — State Police asked the public for help Wednesday in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian Tuesday night in Livingston Parish.
The vehicle struck David Vidrine, 22, of Denham Springs, while Vidrine walked along La. 1025 near Linder and Clinton Allen roads, troopers said in a news release.
According to preliminary investigation reports, Vidrine was on the shoulder of the road when the vehicle hit him about 9:30 p.m., Louisiana State Police spokesman Trooper 1st Class Jared Sandifer said.
The driver of the vehicle, which troopers believe may be either a small white sport utility vehicle or white passenger car, did not stop and was last seen continuing east on La. 1025 past Dunn Road toward La. 447, Sandifer said.
Troopers believe the vehicle may be missing a passenger’s side mirror and may have slight damage to the passenger side, Sandifer said.
The incident remains under investigation, Sandifer said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call State Police at (225) 754-8500 or the nearest law enforcement agency, Sandifer said.
