Disrupting a funeral procession would be punishable by a maximum $500 fine or up to six months in jail under a bill that cleared a Senate committee Tuesday. The Senate Committee on Judiciary C advanced Senate Bill 72 by state Sen. Francis Thompson, D-Delhi. The bill is part of the military family protections in the governor’s legislative package.
